Of course, before modifying anything in this delicate section, we must take certain precautions such as making a backup of the entire record. This is something that allows us to make the editor himself from his archive menu.
Block the arrival of Windows 11 24h2 from the registration
Once we have the corresponding file that has been created and stored safely, let’s see how to block the Windows update from here. As you know, we access this section through the Regedit command that we typed for example in the search bar.
The corresponding to the window that interests us in this case will appear on the screen and we are going to place ourselves on the following route:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Policies/Microsoft/Windows
Now we have to click with the right mouse button in the Windows folder and select the new / key option, to which we assign the following name
WindowsUpdate
We click on the new entry that we have just generated and now we opt for the option that says chain value to which we assign the name of Productversion and to which we give the Windows 11 value.
Next we will create a new entry in this same section, now of the DWORD type (32 bits) to which we give the name of Tarretreleaseversion. Pressing twice on it, now we are going to assign the value of 1. To finish we can only restart the computer so that all changes are made effective. From that moment we will already have blocked the arrival of the new update and the current Windows 11 23H2 will be maintained in our team.
