If you are looking for a second-hand car with which to enter the Low Emission Zones (ZBE) you do not have to spend too much; There are used models for less than 6,000 euros with which you can access without restrictions (or almost) in restricted traffic areas.
In the coming weeks, all municipalities with more than 50,000 inhabitants will have to open areas to which the most polluting vehicles will not have access. These are understood to be those that do not obtain an environmental label, that is, gasoline models registered before 2001 and diesel models registered before 2006.
Above are the cars with the B label, the yellow sticker. These are more polluting but can freely access most ZBEs, with one exception: the Special Protection Low Emission Zone (ZBEEP) in Madrid Centro, where they can access but must go directly to a car park; the same as the cars with the C label, the green one).
