SELF BILD.

The history of the RS surname at Audi dates back to 1994 with the mythical Audi RS 2 Avant. From then until today, the German brand’s Sport range has grown many integers and includes 14 bodies of 10 different models and with powers ranging from 400 to 620 hp.

This Audi RS range benefits from racing experience, whether in the World Rally Championship, the German DTM, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Formula E or the Dakar Rally.

They are the most exclusive Audi models in terms of power, design, tuning and equipment, and by 2026, up to 80% of the RS range will be electrified, either fully or partially. Do you want to meet them? We are going to introduce them to you one by one:

Audi RS3 Sedan and Sportback

It is the latest to arrive in the Audi RS family. The best: it maintains the superb five-cylinder 2.5 TFSI engine that reaches a power of 400 CV and a maximum torque of 500 Nm: it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and 250 km/h top speed.

As a novelty, it mounts a differential on the rear axle that is capable of making the rear take on a life of its own and causing controlled skids.

Its exterior design is spectacular, with very aggressive lines and the most surprising colors and the interior is not far behind.

Audi TTRS

It’s the ‘little’ of the RS family, but don’t be fooled: its athletic skills are first class thanks to the same five-cylinder block with 400 hp with which it goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 250 km/h.

Audi RS Q3 and RS Q3 Sportback

They are the most successful models of the RS family, since we already know that the market loves SUVs, also with 400 hp. This model, which is divided into two bodies, perfectly embody the spirit of sportiness for every day that so well identifies the RS range. They accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and achieve a top speed of 250 km/h.

Audi RS 4 Avant / RS 5

We take a leap to meet the family and the most demanded coupé of the firm of the rings. Both are based on the same 2.9 TFSI V6 twin-turbo engine, which replaced the earlier V8 blocks.

Thanks to its double turbos, it achieves a power of 450 hp and 600 Nm of maximum torque, although the transmission is no longer the double-clutch S tronic, but an eight-speed Tiptronic with a torque converter. At the performance level, they accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in between 3.9 and 4.1 seconds, depending on the model, and can optionally reach up to 280 km/h.

Audi RS 6 Avant

One of the most appreciated and admired RS for assuming the perfect pairing between sportsmanship and daily use. Under the hood it already makes the leap to a V8 biturbo engine with mild hybrid technology (Eco label, therefore), with a power of no less than 600 hp and a generous maximum torque of 800 Nm.

Performance: 0 to 100 km/h takes just 3.6 seconds and a limited top speed of 250 km/h, although optionally it can reach 305.

Audi RS 7 Sportback

It is the largest and most powerful coupé. With a length that exceeds five meters, it shares a lot with the RS 6 Avant, among other things, the engine: the same 600 hp V8 with which it is capable of sprinting to 100 km/h from zero in 3.6 seconds. .

Audi RS Q8

With a degree of agility that is truly surprising given its more than two tons of weight, Audi’s largest SUV is both a well-trained athlete thanks to its steered rear axle and its 600 hp V8 twin-turbo engine. Despite his height and higher center of gravity, it’s amazing how little he gets to pitch when you pick up the pace. And all this, thanks to the electronic aids, which make this behemoth as fun as it is practical for day-to-day use.

Audi R8 and R8 Spyder

The naturally aspirated V10 FSI engine first appeared in the Audi R8 at the beginning of 2019, with a displacement of 5.2 liters, direct injection and a maximum power of 525 hp. After the last update carried out in 2018, in the current Audi R8 and R8 Spyder it reaches a maximum power of 570 hp and 550 Nm of torque in the performance RWD versions, and 620 hp in the performance quattro.

It is therefore the most powerful combustion engine in a production model of the brand with the four rings. In the top version, the specific power reaches 119.1 hp per liter of displacement. In both engine variants of the R8, power is transmitted through a 7-speed S tronic gearbox.

Audi RS e-tron GT

It is the first 100% electric model from Audi Sport: the RS e-tron GT. Zero emissions with infinite sports sensations thanks to having an electric motor on each axle that offers a combined power of 598 CV (646 CV in boost mode, momentarily). Its torque is 830 Nm, higher than any other RS model.

It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and the top speed is limited to 250 km/h. These motors are powered by a 93 kWh battery, which allows you to travel up to 472 kilometers of WLTP autonomy with a full charge and works at 800 volts, which means that you can recharge very quickly: 80% in just 22.5 minutes. .
