After 14 years of absence, the legendary Honda Dax returns to the brand’s European range, a model as original as it is legendary for its iconic silhouette and particular philosophy. The signature of the golden wing has announced the return of one of its most mythical and legendary low displacement models; the Dax. It arrives to share the catalog with other highly successful mini-bikes of the brand, such as the Honda Monkey and the MSX125 Grom, although compared to them, it stands out for its iconic T-shaped stamped steel frame, which extends from under the seat. right down to its chrome handlebars.

He is, without a doubt, one of its most characteristic details, forming a strange but nice silhouette that reminds one of a dachshund with its short legs and long body. Hence its name Dax (Dachshund dog, sausage dog). At the cycle level, the 2023 version of the Dax has, in terms of suspension, an inverted fork with 31 mm diameter bars and 100 mm of travel at the front, and two 102 mm shock absorbers at the rear. The rims are 12 inches and are equipped with 120/70 and 130/70 balloon tires, inside which are mounted 220 mm front and 190 mm rear disc brakes, with two and one piston calipers respectively. and assisted by ABS.

Mechanically the Dax relies on the same 124cc air-cooled 4-stroke single cylinder used by the Monkey and MSX. Its cylinder head is SOHC with two valves, it is powered by electronic injection (Euro5) and incorporates a centrifugal clutch system accompanied by a four-speed gearbox. Its minimalist philosophy gives rise to scarce standard equipment, with the fully LED lighting and its negative LCD instrument panel being the most noteworthy and, at the same time, a license for modernity in a model that continues to have certain vintage details such as the chrome handlebar and passenger handle, or its unmistakable scrambler-type exhaust.

Its arrival has been set for the second half of 2022, the price is not known but it will have two color schemes: Pearl Nebula Red and Pearl Cadet Grey, finished with the classic Honda Wing logo and a model logo incorporating the dog of the same name.
