“On a day like today, 75 years ago, the first Ferrari, the #Ferrari125S, left the gates of Maranello. It was the beginning of a long legacy of innovation, passion and craftsmanship.” This is how this video describes the brand, a video with which Ferrari celebrates the 75th anniversary of its first street model. The 125 S would arrive in the world in 1947, and with it the company would begin a long history of manufacturing dream cars.

The Ferrari 125 S was built in 1947 and was the first Ferrari to be officially built for the street. With it we find the first car that wore the famous “prancing horse” emblem on its hood, one of the most recognized logos in the world. Its designers were Gioachino Colombo, Giuseppe Busso and Luigi Bazzi, being a car that had a direct approach to the world of competition.

This model was a small two-seater with a 1.5-litre V12 designed by Gioacchino Colombo under the hood that produced 118 hp. In these times this power seems like a joke for a high-performance sports car but then they were very interesting numbers. A sports car that would change the concept of a car for everyday use.
