Your sales grow.

Currently, the automobile industry is going through one of the most delicate moments in recent times, affected by the pandemic, the semiconductor crisis, inflation, the war in Ukraine… Such a climate of uncertainty is reducing global sales. Also in the luxury segment, although not all: Tesla imposes its law in the luxury car market.

Of all the premium brands, the only one that has increased its sales is the Elon Musk brand: “June 2022 has been the month with the highest vehicle production in Tesla’s history,” the company itself has acknowledged.

According to Experian, during the first five months of the year, the Californian brand experienced a growth in registrations of 66% in the United States, with a total of 179,574 units sold. Put plainly: Tesla is running away from its rivals.

After the electric car brand, the next is BMW, which put 133,209 new vehicles on the road, which means 11% less than in the same period last year.

Third place went to Lexus, which also fell 19%, with 112,296 registrations. For its part, Mercedes-Benz was only left behind with 110,584 or, what is the same, -17%.

Another premium brand affected has been Audi. During the first half of 2022 it has registered a 35% drop in sales, with only 67,986 new vehicles. Although, both electric and traditional vehicles are included here. If we take into account only battery cars, the firm with the four rings was in second position, behind Tesla.

Finally, Porsche only sold 3,250 units, Volvo 3,330 and Polestar 4,118. Statistics show that Tesla has a huge lead in the luxury car market and it looks like it will stay that way for a while.
