There are only a few days left until the end of the year and, with it, the bonus of 20 cents in the price of fuel. It is not yet known what will happen in 2023 and the gas stations issue a notice.
We are already in mid-December, therefore, there is little left for the year to end and many are asking this question: what will happen to the 20-cent discount on gasoline in 2023? However, it has not yet been clarified what will happen in 2023 and the gas stations are issuing an alert: we cannot run out of gasoline before the end of the year.
At the beginning of December, the Spanish Confederation of Service Station Entrepreneurs (CEEES) sent a formal letter to the Ministry of Finance to request the constitution of a table, in order to agree on an extension of the 20-cent discount on the price of the fuels.
But the reality is that more than ten days have passed and the Government has not yet ruled. With only 15 days to go until the end of the year, we do not know if the discount will be extended in 2023, if it will be canceled or if, as the Government itself has dropped, it will continue to exist only for consumers who need it most.
We may run out of gas before the end of the year if the 20 cent discount is not made clear
Consequently, the gas station sector continues to urge the Executive so that, once and for all, it clears up the doubt about the future of the discount of 20 cents in the price of gasoline.
Specifically, the Federation of Associations of Service Station Companies of Andalusia (Fedaes) has launched a disturbing notice that could harm thousands of drivers during the Christmas holidays.

From the federation, they warn that either new communications are produced this week or there could be a very complicated scenario at the end of the year, even with supply problems.
According to the Andalusian Federation of Gas Stations, uncertainty about whether or not the discount will continue may cause an avalanche of drivers who will go to service stations to refuel, taking advantage of the last hours of the 20-cent discount.

In spite of everything, from the CEEES they have been optimistic in relation to the decision that the Government will finally take and believe that there will be an extension without any type of discrimination, as happened last July.
Likewise, they consider that the measure has worked well for companies, consumers and carriers, although they have underlined the need to inform the administration sufficiently in advance to have legal certainty and not leave room for improvisation from 1 January.
