Volkswagen is constantly working on improving, updating and developing new products, including its successful range of SUV models. Among those who are currently concluding their development tests is the Volkswagen Touareg 2023, a model that is scheduled to debut this summer.
The German company has revealed a series of images of the restyling of the large SUV in its range in which we can see the 2023 Touareg still covered in camouflage, but where we can also see a curious detail that will incorporate the update of this model.

While completing its latest tests in Swedish Lapland, the company has photographed one of the new Volkswagen Touareg prototypes, which is covered in camouflage that includes a large QR code. Among the different novelties that this facelift will incorporate, we can find the IQ.Light HD matrix headlights and the new strip of LED lights integrated into the grill.
These new headlights are made up of a total of 38,400 micro LEDs that improve the lighting performance of the SUV. And, if we talk about lighting, it is impossible not to dwell on the curious detail that the new Touareg 2023 will bring with it. Volkswagen has integrated a brand logo on the rear that is illuminated with red light.
This novelty for the Touareg is also new for the European market. And it is that the company already offers an illuminated logo on the Volkswagen ID.4 in markets such as China or the United States, but not in Europe where until January of this year it was not allowed. The Touareg 2023 will be the first Volkswagen to have an illuminated logo on the Old Continent.
Other novelties that the facelift of the largest SUV in the range will include is a new generation chassis with a roof load sensor connected to the electronic network of the chassis itself. In this way, if the sensor detects a load on the roof, it will transmit this information to the driving assistance systems to improve vehicle stability.
Volkswagen engineers have also worked on the standard steel spring suspension and the optional air suspension by giving it a new configuration.
Finally, the Innovision Cockpit with central 15-inch touchscreen has been installed, which includes lane-accurate navigation and high-resolution HD map data, new voice control, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The debut of the new 2023 Volkswagen Touareg is scheduled for next summer.
