Buying a car online is comfortable and safe if done right
The boom in digital commerce (ecommerce) causes more and more drivers to give up visiting the dealership and prefer to buy a car online. This practice is especially common in the second-hand market, but it is not without its not always pleasant surprises.
Niw.es experts give a series of tips so that if you decide to buy your car on a website you have a pleasant and, above all, safe experience.
Be clear what you need
The Internet is a very large dealership, so if you are not really clear about what you want or need, you will spend many hours (but many) looking at cars that probably do not meet your needs.
“It is recommended that users carry out an exercise to choose the car they are looking for: the requested characteristics, the desired make and model, the mileage and the environmental badge, this last step being especially important with the new regulations on Low Emission Zones in the cities with more than 50,000 inhabitants”, they explain from Niw.es.
“It is also important to mark economic conditions for the purchase of the vehicle, financing, as well as taking into account other services, such as insurance,” they add.
Use secure websites
Do not buy on pages that do not have an SSL certificate to maintain the security of the data that you are inserting. It is advisable to bet on prestigious websites; as well as online sales channels and digital dealer platforms.
It is also a good sign that the page has telephone numbers and email addresses to ask questions in real time and chats for frequently asked questions.
Check the technical sheet of the car
Check that the data that appears in the technical data sheet that the website announces coincides with that provided by the manufacturer. If this is not the case, it could be a typing error but, just in case, it is better to be wary until you verify that it is a mistake.
Check the payment system
It is important that the payment of the operation is carried out in a 100% secure way, through gateways and online payment systems that allow the validation of payments in real time, safely and directly to the chosen bank account.
