The Volvo EX90 is available from 104,985 euros.

The electric car segment in Spain, although increasingly diverse, is generally polarized between segment B models and large vehicles, the latter generally belonging to the premium market. Now, a new five meter long model is on sale and already has prices: the Volvo EX90.

As the flagship of zero emissions within the Swedish brand, it is a true mass that reaches 5.03 meters in length, 1.96 meters in width and 1.74 meters in height, in addition to having a wheelbase of 2.98 meters.

It is an appropriate size to achieve the necessary space to have seven working seats, as well as a trunk capacity of 655 liters.

There are no radical novelties in its design, which follows the general line of Volvo, minimalist and elegant, with an athletic appearance even despite the large size of the model, and which transmits forcefulness without being coarse.

Two concepts come together in the passenger compartment: technology and the environment. The first is reflected in the huge 14.5-inch vertical screen, as well as in the fact that Google services are integrated.

The second is reflected in the materials used to shape a large part of the elements, and that is that the brand states that 15% of the steel, 25% of the aluminum and 15% of the plastics used in the car are recycled.

It is striking that it is only marketed with one finish, called Ultra, although, as expected, it is loaded with equipment.

Its endowment includes elements such as Safe Space technology with LiDAR, High Definition Pixel headlights, premium Bose sound system, climate control and heater, air purifier, wireless charger for smartphones, 5G connectivity, digital key, adaptive cruise control, 360 camera grades, OTA updates, etc.

If there is a choice in terms of mechanics, with two alternatives, although in both cases we are talking about a high-performance propulsion system, with two motors, all-wheel drive, a 111 kWh capacity battery and the same maximum speed, limited to 180 km/h.

The access one is called Twin Motor, develops 408 CV of power and 770 Nm of maximum torque, is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/ in 5.9 seconds and has a range of 600 kilometers.

Above is the Twin Motor Performance, which delivers 517 hp and 910 Nm, only needs 4.9 seconds to reach 100 km/h from a standstill and has a range of 590 kilometers.

With all of the above, it is not surprising that the Volvo EX90 has a price only within the reach of a few: its starting price is 104,985 euros, but the amount goes up to 109,904 euros in the event that you want to opt for the more powerful mechanical variant.
