Pluto TV has become one of the best streaming services to watch anime in Spanish for free. The platform has a multitude of thematic channels, such as those dedicated to Detective Conan or Inazuma Eleven and, in addition, they also have the Anime channel. Now it is announced that it is preparing a great novelty that the otakus will love.

The message that Pluto TV has published on his Twitter account is brief, but it is more than enough to generate excitement among anime fans. Because everything points to the fact that next Friday the addition of one of the great series of the 90s to the platform will be announced: the revered Yu-Gi-Oh!.

Channel or just episodes?

This is the big question that came to mind after learning about the channel’s intention to introduce the classic anime based on the manga by Kazuki Takahashi. It could be a thematic channel like the ones we mentioned before and that allows us to watch episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! during the 24 hours of the day. This is what is most likely to happen!

We are looking forward to a duel and meeting Yugi and company again would be one of the best news we could receive this month of August. However, if in the end what happens is that the series is incorporated into the programming of the Anime channel, it will also be very good news. We would even settle for some marathons or the premiere of the movies!

A legendary anime

The entire Yu-Gi-Oh! He is pure legend, but his animated series accompanied many of the young people of the late 90s and 2000s in their daily lives. The first anime had 27 episodes and served as an appetizer for what would come in 2000 with the premiere of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, which really was the series that swept through, among other things, an extension made up of a whopping 224 chapters.

The bad news is that not all the episodes were dubbed into Spanish, since there was a break and from that moment the dubbing work was not continued again. It is unlikely that we will see episodes that were not dubbed at the time, but at least it is more than possible that we will have the opportunity to remember the more than 140 episodes that were dubbed into Spanish.

On the other hand, taking into account that in other markets Pluto TV already has Yu-Gi-Oh! on their platform, the chances are that the dose of the franchise that they are going to provide us with is much more solid than one could imagine. Therefore, it should not be ruled out that the arrival of the supposed channel of Yu-Gi-Oh! Pluto TV is a perfect opportunity for us to also see other installments of the universe on the platform. And that would mean that we could not only see them within the programming, but also on demand.

After all, Yu-Gi-Oh! Vrains, for example, can be seen on the Latin American version of Pluto TV, while there are also other recent series that would be devoured by anime fans, such as the more recent Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens or Yu-Gi-Oh! Go Rush!!. But let’s not get excited either because some of these licenses are in the hands of other services, so their issuance would be complicated.

In any case, what is clear is that the original Yu-Gi-Oh! arrives on Pluto TV and that this Friday will be officially announced. It is very likely that the channel’s debut will take place this month of August, taking advantage of the fact that, during the summer, it is an ideal time to binge on duels and episodes of one of the most remembered anime of its time.

And, at the same time, we can’t think of a better way to honor its author, Kazuki Takahashi, who drowned a little over a year ago while trying to help three people who were at risk in a rip current. Enjoying his work again will be an ideal way to remember him.
