We talk about the measures of the Seat Ateca, the interior, the seats, the trunk and its rivals. All the details of the compact SUV of the Spanish firm.
The Seat Ateca is the compact SUV from the Martorell company. It straddles the Seat Arona and the Seat Tarraco, smaller and larger, respectively. But what exactly are the measurements of the Seat Ateca? In this article we analyze it to the millimeter and we talk about aspects such as the number of seats, the number of doors and the volumetric capacity of the trunk.
For SUV buyers, both the measurements and the habitability and the trunk are sections that they take into account when choosing one model or another. This makes manufacturers strive to offer a perfect balance between dimensions and interior capacity, as well as adding other technological features and a complete range of engines.
Measures Seat Ateca
Let’s start with the measurements of the Seat Ateca. We are talking, of course, about its exterior dimensions, dimensions that fit perfectly with those of compact SUVs, both in body length and width. The height, however, is less important, since it depends on the size of the wheels or the suspension configuration that the manufacturer has given you.
However, the rest of the measures are important, including the wheelbase, which is responsible for offering a more or less spacious cabin. In the specific case of the Seat Ateca, we have 4,380 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width and 1,615 mm in height, all on a wheelbase of 2,640 mm.
Number of places and doors
The SUV segment is more restrictive with the number of doors. With few exceptions such as the Volkswagen T-Roc Cabrio, SUVs are four-door vehicles with a trunk. It makes no sense to build a car that claims to be practical and not give it five doors. The Seat Ateca offers precisely five doors.
Something similar happens with the number of seats. Two-seater SUVs do not exist, at least not today, and if we do not consider the Suzuki Jimny, a model that only has two seats because it is marketed as an industrial vehicle. SUVs generally have five or seven seats, with some very specific models having four or six, although these are quite rare.
The Seat model has five seats as the only possible configuration. If you need an SUV with more seats, you have the Seat Tarraco, which can include up to seven seats. That is a good option if you do not want to leave the Spanish brand, but there are many other models on the market with the possibility of including up to seven seats.
Trunk
The trunk is another key point to take into account when you are going to buy an SUV, especially if you are going to use it as a family vehicle. It must be spacious and with great capacity, at the same time that the rear seats must be able to be folded down to offer more space for cargo in specific situations.
The trunk of the Seat Ateca has 510 liters of volumetric capacity, which is within the average for its segment. By folding down the rear seats, the capacity increases to 1,600 litres, thus tripling the cargo volume.
