SkyShowtime users should get ready to watch the movies they have pending on their watchlist, since an important deletion will take place throughout the month of May. More than 100 films will disappear over the next few days, but especially on two specific days of the month that it would be advisable to mark on the calendar.

Movies are deleted from streaming services every month. In fact, we have already told you more than once what some of the titles that disappear are going to be. But, generally, as many films are not deleted at once as will happen in this case. With this, we remember those early days of SkyShowtime in which its catalog also had radical twists like this.

What days will movies be removed?

Although there are deletions at various times, the two key days in which a large part of the movies available on SkyShowtime will disappear will be May 27 and the 31st. It will be a quite forceful way to end the month and in view of the proximity of dates, it would be advisable to catch up on the titles you want to see before they are removed.

On the other hand, before these two dates, as we said, some films will also be eliminated. For example, Ted 2 will no longer be available starting next week, which is quite shocking considering the popularity of the talking bear series. Now that it has been confirmed that the Ted series will have a sequel, it would be enough to at least keep the movie going for a little longer.

What movies disappear from SkyShowtime?

The list is extensive and, above all, we see that horror film titles, a lot of comedy and, among all of this, a good handful of classics that are worth seeing will no longer be available. If you haven’t seen them, it is recommended that you take advantage of them while you have time, since otherwise you will have to look for them on another streaming service. Another option would be to wait for them to return to SkyShowtime, as they often get second and third chances.

Some of the sagas that disappear on May 27, either in their entirety or in a large volume of installments, include Grab It As You Can, The Addams Family, Monstrous, Paranormal Activity, Scary Movie, The Ring, Scream, Spy Kids, Ninja Turtles or Friday the 13th. Of course, there are also individual films that are worth noting that will no longer be available, such as The Hunt for Red October, Rounders, Silent Hill, The Lovely Bones or True Grit, among others.

As we told you, on May 31 the second wave of deletions occurs and many other horror films will no longer be available, such as Ouija, The Purge or Chucky, while comedies such as Rascals at Full Rhythm, The Virgin will also disappear. 40 or several Adam Sandler films. Likewise, other titles such as Apollo 13, American Gangster, The Wolf of Wall Street, The Road to El Dorado, Turbo or Twister will no longer be available.

Should we worry about this disappearance of titles? Actually, we shouldn’t. SkyShowtime has already made this type of catalog change on other occasions. Let’s keep in mind that, at the beginning of May, around 100 movies were added. So it can be said that what the platform is doing is renewing its catalog titles, those that are represented by already known films that accompany the premieres of new films or series that they carry out frequently.

Furthermore, we will have to see what the service has in store for the month of June at the catalog level, because the new releases were already announced days ago (and, as we already told you, the fun Five Nights at Freddy’s is coming, of which You can see an image above these lines). Who knows if they will surprise us with the addition of another 100 titles at once to make up for the losses that will occur throughout this month. In the end, they do not end up being deleted of content as dramatic as it may seem, which is why SkyShowtime continues to progress as one of the most interesting streaming services and, above all, it is improving the most in recent times.
