If you have contracted a Movistar Plus+ TV package with which you also watched HBO Max, the new Max arrives in your package this May 21 without causing any change to your monthly rate.
Some of the main operators in Spain are echoing the arrival of Max in Spain, explaining how the transition will be experienced in the television packages that included HBO Max. In the case of Movistar Plus+, the new streaming platform is now available in the operator’s six TV packages that included HBO Max, at no additional cost.
We will have access to Max by contracting any of the six ‘Total Fiction’ packages from the blue operator, which range in price from 16 to 36 euros per month depending on what other platforms each one includes, with Max being present in all.
Thus, the cheapest offer would be Ficción Total for 16 euros per month, which includes seven film and series channels, Max and SkyShowtime, while the most complete option would be the Ficción Total package with Disney+ and Netflix Premium, which for 36 euros per month includes mouse brand content and the Netflix service taken to the maximum.
Users of miMovistar or Fusión who have contracted a Fiction package, therefore, will not go through any abrupt changes. Simply put, HBO Max is replaced by Max in its standard plan, maintaining exactly the same price. Furthermore, and as with Disney+ or Netflix, the contents of the new streaming platform will be fully integrated into Movistar Plus+, making it possible to search for them from Movistar’s own search engine.
The packages will maintain the same price
The offer of fiction packages from the Telefónica operator is, therefore, arranged as follows:
- Total Fiction: seven film and series channels together with Max and SkyShowtime for 16 euros per month
- Total Fiction with Disney+: the contents of the Total Fiction plus Disney+ package for 20 euros per month
- Total Fiction with Netflix Standard: Total Fiction content plus standard Netflix plan for 26 euros per month
- Total Fiction with Disney+ and Netflix Standard: Total Fiction content plus standard Netflix and Disney+ plan for 30 euros per month
- Total Fiction with Netflix Premium: Total Fiction content plus Netflix premium plan for 31 euros per month
- Total Fiction with Disney+ and Netflix Premium: Total Fiction content plus Disney+ and Netflix premium plan for 36 euros per month
Max is on smart TVs (Samsung, LG and Android TV), through streaming devices (Apple TV and Google Chromecast), game consoles (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S), mobile phones and tablets ( iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Android), and online at Max.com. In addition, for the first time this service will be available on televisions with Amazon Fire TV in Europe.
