Vodafone is betting heavily on the return to school. Like the rest of the operators, the company has reduced several fibre and mobile rates and television packages with the arrival of September. But this was not enough and they have also announced that they will give away free devices or at 5 euros per month for making a portability with them.

Vodafone’s back-to-school promotion to get free technology products or money started on September 2 and will last until October 31, 2024. Not all of the Internet and mobile phone provider’s rates are included in the offer, but with some you can win incredible devices.

What rates and devices are included in the Vodafone promotion?

Whether you are an individual or self-employed, the rates that are part of the promotion back to school are:

  • Mobile Rate 100 GB + Fiber
  • Unlimited Mobile Rate + 600 Mbps Fiber
  • Mobile Rate + 1 Gbps Fiber

As explained in the Vodafone promotion, they are giving away a completely free device. Depending on the chosen rate, the selection of products you can choose from includes a mobile phone, an air fryer, a scooter, a television or a tablet.

In addition, if you switch to Vodafone and sign up for the convergent rate of 600 Mbps Fiber + 1 mobile line of 25 GB at maximum speed, you also have other devices available. For example, within this plan, the Xiaomi TV A 2025 HD 32″, the Samsung Galaxy A05s, the Xiaomi Redmi 13C or the Moto G34 are included. In this case, you will have to pay 5 euros per month.

To sign up for any of the plans included in the promotion, simply go to a Vodafone store and ask for more information. You can also call 1444 or visit their website vodafone.es to find out about prices and the devices in their catalogue.

What to consider before signing up with Vodafone?

Not everything goes with the back-to-school promotion from the Zegona operator. Of course, the company’s gifts are not given without any requirements and this must be taken into account before contracting any of the available convergent rates. The brand clarifies that, for each client, they only offer one device. That is, you cannot ask for unlimited gifts from the catalogue selection or pay 5 euros per month for different products. You will have to opt for one.

Even if the technological product is free, the digital fee must be paid when it is received. This is a tax paid on devices that can be used to play or record content protected by intellectual property law, to compensate the authors. Vodafone clarifies that for users who choose a smartphone it will cost 3.93 euros, while for those who want a tablet it will cost 4.54 euros. It does not go into further detail about other types of devices, but this is because they are not included in the list of the digital fee.

Another thing to keep in mind is that, when switching to Vodafone with this promotion, new customers commit to a 24-month (two-year) contract. Those who leave before this period is up will have to pay a penalty. The early cancellation fee for the device costs between 50 and 200 euros, depending on the model chosen. For the tariff, those who leave will have to pay up to 150 euros.

The installation of fibre with Vodafone is also free. However, it is linked to a permanence. In this case, it is shorter, 12 months (one year). If the customer leaves before then, the maximum penalty is 150 euros. The amount will be higher or lower depending on the time remaining to comply with the permanence.
