There were no injuries.

This week there has been a rather picturesque image at Alicante airport: a Renault Clio has ended up wedged in the underside of a Boeing 737 belonging to Ryanair. Luckily, there was no one in the utility vehicle or on board the plane, so there were no injuries.

The events were fortuitous and it seems that one of the operators forgot to put the handbrake on the Renault, before which the vehicle began to move until it hit the plane and was placed under the aircraft’s bumpers.

The Twitter user Ivan Castro Palacios was the first to report the facts, sharing a series of photographs (one of which illustrates these lines) in which it can be seen that the incident was quite minor:

Ryanair has declared that “a minor incident occurred at Alicante airport, in which a parked Boeing 737-800 aircraft and a car from a handling company were involved.”

It adds that “the handling agent left the parking brake on the parked vehicle released, and it rolled under the fuselage of a stopped Ryanair Boeing 737-800 aircraft, causing some minor exterior damage.”

It states that “the aircraft was immediately taken to our maintenance facilities for review. There were no passengers on board the aircraft and there were no injuries from this incident, which is currently being investigated.”

In addition, despite the incident, the situation was resolved in such a way that there were no repercussions on the rest of the flights.
