Say goodbye to consoles with the launch of the Xbox Gaming service on Fire TV devices. Although, we will have to wait until July, when Xbox Game Pass Ultimate users will have hundreds of cloud games at their disposal to play directly from the app on these Amazon devices.
Cloud gaming is built into Fire TV
In just a few days, anyone with an Amazon Fire TV at home will have a console. And all thanks to the launch of this Xbox cloud gaming service starting in July in more than 25 countries, including Spain. Therefore, with this simple streaming player you will be able to access an endless number of cloud games in the easiest way.
All you need to do is download the Xbox app on your Fire TV device via the Amazon Appstore. Once installed, you’ll need to open the app and sign in with a Microsoft account.
If you are already an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member, know that you will already have instant access to play any of the hundreds of cloud-compatible titles in the Game Pass Ultimate library. “Not yet a member? You can subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate through the app for a small monthly price. To access some games, such as Fortnite, there is even the possibility of trying it for free, without a subscription.”
And to start enjoying cloud gaming, you also need to connect a compatible Bluetooth controller, as well as have a good internet connection. On the Xbox website, it is recommended that you have at least 20 Mbps download speed. And as for the controller, there are different options: the Microsoft Xbox Wireless Controller and the Xbox Adaptive Controller, or if you prefer you can use the PS5 DualSense or PlayStation 4 DualShock controllers.
