This Cannon CyberP!ckup 6×6 is an impressive pick-up with six wheels and a plug-in hybrid system that develops 517 CV.
One of the most spectacular vehicles we have seen at the Shanghai Motor Show is this three-axle pick-up from the Great Wall Motors company, the Cannon CyberP!ckup 6×6, the Chinese answer to the Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG 6×6.
The model is based on the Shanhai Cannon pick-up and has been developed by Great Wall’s Co-Creation division, in collaboration with Chaojing Motors. According to the manufacturer, it is the first 6×6 vehicle in China, following in the wake of modified six-wheeled SUVs from the United States, where they are especially popular.

The most obvious modification is the addition of a third axle, to make a total of six 18-inch wheels shod with 33-inch Cooper Discoverer all-terrain tires (almost 84 centimeters high) and a Heavy Duty reinforced suspension with nitrogen shock absorbers.
This mastodon is built on a platform that can accommodate different propulsion systems, from combustion engines to fuel cells and electric, through hybrid mechanics.
In this case, we have a plug-in hybrid engine, made up of a 3.0-liter V6 gasoline block and an electric motor that develop a combined power of 517 hp and 750 Nm of torque. All that power is transmitted to all six wheels with the help of five electronically controlled locking differentials.
The Chinese company has not specified the capacity of the battery, but it has announced an electric range of about 50 kilometers, according to the Chinese CLTC approval cycle, more optimistic than the WLTP.
aesthetic modifications
In addition to the third axle, the Cannon CyberP!ckup 6×6 has received several cosmetic modifications, such as wide fender extensions, front and rear bumpers with large air intakes highlighted with LED lights, a custom grille with an LED strip, a hood carbon fiber, side steps and an elongated cargo area with a tailgate divided into two sections.
As for the interior, it presents a five-seater double cab configuration, with light-colored upholstery, a dashboard with two digital screens and the CyberP!ckup inscription in various areas of the cabin.
It seems that the Cannon CyberP!ckup 6×6 has been created to impress at the Shanghai Motor Show, however, according to the Australian media CarExpert, Great Wall is going to take it to production in 4×4 and 6×6 versions.
