Tourism or crossover?
If you are looking for an affordable car to meet your transportation needs, one of the most interesting options, considering the price, is the Dacia Sandero. But the customer can choose between two body types: the Dacia Sandero or the Dacia Sandero Stepway. When are you interested in buying each one?
We are talking about a segment B car, 4.09 meters long, therefore, we are dealing with a tourism to move, mainly, through the city and the outskirts, with some sporadic road trips.
However, the Stepway variant provides greater versatility and allows outings outside the city with greater comfort and safety.
The Sandero was renewed last year and now boasts better technological equipment and better interior finishes.
Dacia Sandero or Dacia Sandero Stepway, when are you interested in buying each one?
The Dacia Sandero is a very appropriate vehicle to move around the city, preferably. It is a car with very compact dimensions, slightly exceeding four meters in length. It measures the same as a Renault Clio.
Available from 12,790 euros, you can choose between two finishes, Essential, with a 90 hp TCe gasoline engine and another 100 hp that can run on LPG, and Expression, with the same mechanical options.
In both cases, the engine can be associated with a change of six relations or automatic CVT. The main advantage of the 100 hp engine is that it bears the DGT ECO label, with the advantages that this entails.
They are two engines with more than enough power to move around the city and surroundings. In addition, they are motors that offer a good response and a smooth and silent operation.
Another positive aspect of the Dacia utility is the interior. The space is very well used: people up to 1.90 meters tall can travel without problems. In addition, the trunk offers a volume of 328 liters, a figure similar to that of its rivals.
The Sandero is built on the CMF-B platform, the same as the Clio and the Captur, which allows it to include safety elements such as six airbags and driving aid systems such as automatic emergency braking, blind spot warning or the parking assistant with rear camera.
Dacia Sandero Stepway, a more versatile option
The Stepway variant is aimed at those who need a small, practical car for the city, but who also want to make road trips relatively frequently.
It costs almost 1,500 euros more than the normal Sandero, exactly 14,268 euros, but in return, it offers greater ground clearance, specifically, four centimeters more, which allows it to travel on off-road roads with greater safety.
In addition, it sports a specific decoration, with plastic protections on the bodywork typical of crossovers, and includes roof bars that can be placed transversely, specific tires and different suspensions, with a softer setting.
Despite not being an off-roader, it can move without problems through some areas where a car would not and, having a greater height, access to the interior is easier and visibility from the driving position is better.
The range of engines is the same, one with 90 hp gasoline and another with 100 hp that can run on LPG.
Nor do the interior dimensions or the capacity of the trunk change, which remain at 328 liters, however, it has a tray that allows the floor to be leveled when the rear seatbacks are folded down to leave a completely flat surface.
Unlike the Sandero, the Stepway invites you to drive more slowly, because it has a softer suspension, which makes it comfortable, but you also feel more body roll when cornering.
