More surprises for Digi customers, but this time they are not as good as the cheap operator’s recent rate improvement. If nothing else was known about a reduction in the operator’s discount when bringing friends to the telephone company, now it is the turn of the free GB that it gives to users when they consume the mobile data of their rates.
Digi cuts mobile gigabytes. The bonuses contracted in each of their plans are not reduced, but rather the GB that customers can use for free to continue browsing the Internet once they spend the gigabytes of the rate they contract. News that, without a doubt, will not be liked very much by its subscribers. So it is time to find out in more detail what the new change of the low-cost operator is.
If you consume all the gigabytes, you have less free data
There is no doubt that this is one of the different measures that the operator has had to take to continue competing at this high level by announcing its new mobile prices or even its Smart fiber from only 10 euros per month. However, those subscribers to a mobile rate with few GB should be careful not to spend them before the billing date arrives. Basically, because they will have less free data to browse the Internet without having to pay.
The fact that you can browse after exhausting the contracted bonus does not only happen with this operator. It is also something that happens in other telecos. In some cases they can set a limit, while in other operators they only limit the browsing speed, which can range from 64 Kbps to 2 Mbps.
On Digi’s part, the truth is that clients who have contracted some of these rates come out badly:
- 5 GB + 100 minutes for 3 euros.
- 15 GB + 100 minutes for 5 euros.
- 30 GB + unlimited calls for 7 euros.
More than anything because these are the three contract plans of the low-cost operator in which the extra free GB are cut at reduced speed. In the case of this company, the minimum speed offered to customers is 64 Kbps. But this is not the issue, rather the mobile data is reduced, remaining as follows:
- The rate of 3 euros now has an additional 0.5 GB, instead of 2.5 GB.
- The 5 euro rate now has 1.5 GB, instead of 5 GB.
- The 7 euro rate now has 2.5 GB, instead of 5 GB.
In addition to these plans, they are not the only operator rates that only enjoy 1.5 GB or even 1 GB additionally. And without a doubt, it is a cut that affects the cheapest plans in its offer, since it is aimed at plans that are below 10 euros per month. And we must not forget to mention that the free GB at low speed cannot be accumulated for the following month.
