The French National Assembly is debating a proposal to use the color white in cars to reduce interior temperatures and use less air conditioning.

As in everything, also in the colors of the body there are fashions that change over the years. However, white cars are still the best sellers: 39% of new vehicles registered have this colour.
White is a very grateful color. Apart from the fact that it usually comes as standard or has zero cost in the options catalogue, it requires less maintenance and better hides dirt.
But now, from Europe, voices are beginning to arrive that encourage the use of white cars for a purpose that has nothing to do with the above: to reduce the temperature inside and consume less air conditioning.

Specifically, the idea is being discussed in the French National Assembly. Exactly, it is a proposal that refers to the use of white on the roof of cars, which, according to some parliamentary groups, would reduce the temperature inside and, therefore, use less air conditioning, which That would mean savings.
Therefore, we are not talking about completely white cars, but only the roof, which would lead to finishes with a double tone, something that, on the other hand, has been in fashion for many years, but for purely decorative purposes.
The problem with applying this proposal (if it ends up being approved) is that the cars would be more expensive, since a single-tone body is not the same as a two-tone body.
