Google has updated Android Auto with a new design to suit multimedia screens and more features that make entertainment easier.
The mobile is already part of the equipment of the cars. Manufacturers have been able to seamlessly integrate it into their infotainment systems through apps like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. But this technology can also become obsolete, which requires certain regular face washes. That’s why Google has just updated Android Auto with new features.
The most important change that the technological giant has introduced in Android Auto is its new look, which will arrive this summer. Beyond being shiny and new, the Android team has worked to make important information visible most of the time while driving.

The new split screen design aims to keep information visible for drivers longer at all times, reducing the anxiety of missing the next turn while changing songs. That means drivers have to search through menus less time, reducing the need to look at the screen instead of the road.
For this, the Google Assistant has been perfected. This feature will now offer contextual suggestions to help you reply to messages with a single touch, just like in Gmail. In addition to suggested replies, the system will also offer to share the arrival time with the person you’re texting with and even recommend music for your trip.
On the other hand, the split screen function has been designed to adapt to more types of screens. This means that whether it’s a tablet-style (vertical) screen, a square screen or a wide screen, all information is designed to be visible regardless of the format.
Finally, vehicles with Google built in will now have more entertainment options. In addition to YouTube, Tubi and Epix Now apps are added to the list of options. The team is also working on integrating the function of casting from your phone to the screen with the aim of adding more functions in the future.
