Honda has just confirmed the launch of the ZR-V, a new SUV for the C segment, which will sit between the HR-V and the CR-V and will hit the market in 2023.
According to the brief statement sent by the brand, the Honda ZR-V will incorporate the full hybrid e:HEV powertrain, so that with this launch the brand will further expand its range of electrified options for customers.
This announcement marks the start of the next stage of Honda’s electrification strategy for Europe. The ZR-V, to be followed by other electrified SUV models, marks a major evolution in Honda’s line-up, which will further focus on this fast-growing segment.
We do not have more information but if we take a look at the brand’s SUV range and the mechanics used, everything indicates that the new ZR-C could measure about 4.5 meters long and that its hybrid engine would deliver a power of 131 or 184 CV depending on the version (perhaps), since they are the two powers that are considered in the different hybrid models of the brand.
The images that we attach with the news correspond to the Honda ZR-V for the Chinese market, so the model that arrives in Europe could undergo some modifications and even be a completely new model but with the same name.
