Buying a new car today for less than 20,000 euros is generally reserved for segment A or B vehicles. Prices have risen so much in the last year that finding a cheap car is almost an impossible mission. However, the MG ZS is the SUV that is on everyone’s lips for several reasons: it costs less than 20,000 euros and has a 448-liter trunk.
The MG ZS is the entry-level SUV from the British firm (now owned by SAIC Motor). It is a compact vehicle of 4.32 meters long, 1.81 meters wide and 1.65 meters high that is based on a platform that offers a 2,580 mm wheelbase.
These measures give the MG SUV an interior suitable for traveling five passengers and a trunk that offers 448 liters of volumetric capacity. In addition, the rear seat backs are foldable and this allows the space for cargo to be increased to 1,165 liters.

The entry-level version of the MG ZS is equipped with a naturally aspirated 1.5 VTI-tech four-cylinder in-line gasoline engine that develops 106 HP of power and 141 Nm of torque. It is linked to a five-speed manual transmission that sends all the power to the front axle. In addition, it approves a combined consumption of 6.6 l/100 km and has a C label from the DGT.
In the ZS range there is a second gasoline engine with a turbocharger and 110 HP of power, as well as two electric versions that announce up to 440 kilometers of autonomy, although both models have a higher price.
The entry-level version of the MG ZS is the Comfort finish and includes the hill start assistant, speed control, LED headlights, electric mirrors, 10.1-inch touch screen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, as standard. DAB radio, rear parking sensors, air conditioning, leather steering wheel, 17-inch wheels and fabric upholstery.
And with regard to prices, the MG ZS is available in Spain from 17,190 euros. But, if you take advantage of the financing campaign offered by the manufacturer, you get an additional discount of 3,200 euros, which leaves the final price at 13,990 euros. In addition, you take it as standard with a 7-year or 160,000 km warranty.
