Approximately a year ago, this news circulated through the specialized media. But the view is that the project was not brought to production. Now we return to the subject due to the new 2022 homologation, which suggests that now its time has come.
There are currently no images of the new model, not even clear information. Just some data regarding its dimensions and weight. Its measurements would be traced to those of the KTM Super Adventure S, shorter and shorter than the R, which also equips longer-travel suspension. And its weight would be 240 kg, five less than the current version.
This small difference would not be due to the adoption of lighter components, but to the simplification of the equipment of the S version. The KTM 1290 Super Adventure S in its 2022 version is priced at €19,999, and the 1290 Super Adventure R at €20,599.
