The Internet has made life much easier in certain aspects. It allows us to do countless procedures, from buying a plane ticket to paying a fine or an invoice, for example. But things don’t always go the way you want. We show you the most frequent errors in the payment of DGT fees.
The DGT page allows you to carry out different procedures and procedures, from requesting a duplicate driving license to paying fines, in addition to consulting the vehicle documentation.
Payment of DGT fees, these are the most frequent errors
Nobody likes to pay fees, but if the system is not entirely clear, the discomfort is greater. The General Directorate of Traffic establishes three methods to pay:
- Online, through the fee payment application. You will need a digital certificate, electronic DNI or Cl@ve credentials to confirm the purchase.
- In person at any of the Provincial Traffic Headquarters, with a credit or debit card, at the time of carrying out the procedure.
- In any financial entity adhered to the payment of fees. You can do it in cash or charged to a bank account by completing a self-assessment form in accordance with model 791 (available at dgt.es).
Without a doubt, the fastest and most comfortable way is to do it online. However, some users find the system unintuitive and prone to errors.
According to a study by the OCU, among the main errors that occur is the impossibility of using the Cl@ve accreditation system. In addition, there are procedures that require paying the price before starting the process and others that allow it to be done as a last step.
Another problem is how cumbersome the payment process is for some users and even the impossibility of paying with some credit cards, mainly cards belonging to old savings banks.
