Last May Polestar announced its official landing in Spain and just a few months later it has opened its first dealership in the country, specifically in Barcelona, to which a second will soon be added in Madrid.
It will open its doors on July 6 at number 84 Passeig de Gràcia and the Swedish company does not refer to it as a dealer per se, but as one of its Spaces.
The manufacturer defines them as “retail establishments that deviate from the traditional dealership concept to become places that revolve around the vehicle.”
And he points out that “it is characterized by its minimalist design, perfect digital interactivity and the presence of specialists who do not receive commission”, so that “customers control the entire process from the initial consultation to the test drive and, if they wish, , the delivery of the Polestar model they choose”.
In the place, the cars are the protagonists of the space, but around them there are walls that show information about the models and interactive LED screens where buyers can consult what they need.
If they get to the final phase of vehicle configuration, they can sit down at a table where they choose the different options to see how the final car would look. In addition, by placing a device with NFC technology on it, they can take the configuration of their Polestar on their mobile.
Stéphane Le Guével, director of Polestar IBERIA, declares: “Our business model is digital-first, but the shopping experience combines the digital with the physical. It is very important to us that customers have the opportunity to test drive the Polestar 2 electric fastback for themselves.”
It must be remembered that currently only the Polestar 2 is marketed, which is available in three versions: 231 CV, 4×2, 69 kWh battery and 482 km of autonomy; 231 CV, 4×2, 78 kWh battery and 542 km of autonomy; and 408 hp, 4×4, 78 kWh battery and 474 km of autonomy.
