Chance has wanted us to have the first Clásico of the year 2023 just started the year. Real Madrid and FC Barcelona eliminated Valencia and Real Betis respectively and they will face each other today in the 2023 Super Cup final.
The teams classified for the Spanish Super Cup via LaLiga eliminated the Cup teams and today they will play at 8:00 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time) for the first official trophy of 2023 from the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, country where it has been played on three of the last occasions (since the new format was released, only the pandemic caused it to be played on national territory in 2021).
Where to watch the Spanish Super Cup final
As has happened in the rest of the Super Cup matches, Movistar Plus+ will be in charge of bringing everything that happens between Real Madrid and Barcelona to our country’s homes. Last November, the Telefónica operator won the unique lot auctioned by the Royal Spanish Football Federation, organizer of this tournament of champions and runners-up that has seen the format revitalized in recent years despite constant criticism for its dispute outside our borders. Movistar Plus+ continues to bet on this format as it has been doing since Real Madrid won the inaugural trophy against Atlético de Madrid.

Specifically, Movistar Plus+ subscribers will have to tune in to dial 57 to watch the Super Cup on M+ (usually it is the Champions League channel 2 on M+). Thanks to a new agreement between operators, it can also be seen on Orange TV, but in this case on dial 10. In the case of the orange operator, the match will be available at no additional cost for those with a contracted football package.

As Movistar is the sole holder of the rights, it can only be seen on its own television platform, as well as on Orange’s thanks to the agreement that we have referred to before. The channel is not part of the Movistar Plus+ Lite offer, so you will have to have a soccer package and accredit yourself with your credentials to access the player.
Use this streaming format only if you cannot watch the game on television, since in addition to consuming a good number of data if you are watching it via 4G/5G, the quality could be lower and lead to delay and small cuts, something that the classic television broadcast lacks, so, beyond the comfort of watching it anywhere in your home, you will not get any advantage of watching it online if you can do it through deco.
Finally, if you are not going to be available at 8:00 p.m., you can find out what is happening through a sports results app or website to take a quick look. For example Flashscore (formerly MyScores) offers live commentary, so you’ll have the old radio format and immediate results and statistics.
