Renault Kagoo E-TECH, the alternative to the electric SUV, already has a price in Spain
The electric vehicle segment now has a new member, this time, in a van format, and it is a serious alternative to electric SUVs, due to its habitability and versatility.
The electric Kangoo is equipped with a 90 kW (122 CV) motor and 245 Nm of torque, together with a 45 kWh useful capacity lithium-ion battery that provides a range of up to 285 kilometers of autonomy in the WLTP cycle and up to 430 kilometers in urban cycle.
Renault claims that the battery is guaranteed for eight years or 100,000 miles. Within this time interval, they are replaced for free if their ability degrades to below 70% of their SoH.
To recharge the battery, the electric Kangoo accepts a three-phase 11 kW AC charger, adapted to all types of domestic charging, and a 22 kW AC fast charger, which allows you to go from 5 to 80% in two and a half hours. as well as a DC 80 kW charger, with which you can recover 170 kilometers in about 30 minutes.
The driver can choose between three recuperative braking modes:

Sailing (B1): limited regenerative mode, adapted to driving on highways and expressways.

Drive (B2): default regenerative mode for versatile use, with a sensation of deceleration similar to that of a vehicle with a thermal engine.

Autonomy optimization
Driving in ECO mode, power is limited to 56 kW and top speed remains at 110 km/h to optimize range. In addition, it has two-zone air conditioning regulated with a heat pump, which allows the production of heat or cold, depending on the time of year, according to the principle of reversible air conditioning.
The heating provides the passenger compartment with the calories recovered from the outside, while the air conditioning extracts the calories from the passenger compartment to transfer them to the outside of the vehicle. This system allows you to get up to 30 kilometers of additional autonomy, according to the French brand.
On the other hand, the electric Kangoo E-Tech offers the option of adding a heated windshield, front seats and steering wheel. These options provide even more thermal comfort and allow greater use in winter while having little impact on autonomy.

The new Renault Kangoo E-TECH is offered with two trim levels: balance and techno. The first is designed for those who are looking for a comfortable and economical vehicle, while the second is designed for families or professionals who are looking for all the comfort and safety, with more technological load.
Renault is already accepting orders for the electric Kangoo Combi, with a price starting at 39,204 euros for the Kangoo balance EV45 with the 11 kW charger. If you opt for the 22 kW charger, the price is 40,535 euros. The techno versions cost 41,745 and 43,076 euros, respectively.
