The Indian firm steps into the future in the medium term with the Royal Enfield Electrik 01. It is its first electric concept bike, but not the only one. And it is that it also has in its portfolio the design of a future zero-emission Himalayan.
The photo in question is recently published on Autocar Scoop. All this after learning that the CEO of Eicher Motors, Siddhartha Lal, announced at the national presentation of the HNTR 350 that they were already working on electric mobility. And so much that they are doing it!
The Royal Enfield Electrik 01 is a very well worked first step. It maintains the roots of the Indian firm from an aesthetic point of view, with its false fuel tank, round headlight and minimalist instrument panel. In other words, a very characteristic neo-retro image.
The double-arm, double-shock fork is clearly a conceptual touch that shouldn’t go any further. But it gives us an idea that Royal Enfield is not sleeping at all. Normally, when the time comes, the motorcycle has a conventional telescopic fork. For its part, the wheel is alloy, very light-looking, and the narrow tires are probably 19”.
Nothing is known about the rear, so we will have to be attentive to future leaks or spy photos in order to have a more complete idea of the product under development.
Regarding the benefits or characteristics of the Electrick 01, logically, we can only make conjectures. And less in view of just a photograph. But given that the Asian brand plans to launch its first models for 2026, its autonomy should not be less than 150 km and the benefits will have to be similar to those of its 350 models, the HNTR 350, Meteor 350 and Classic. 350.
