The Chinese version of the Nissan Navara is called the Ruiqi 7, based on the earlier Ruiqi 6 and manufactured by the Zhengzhou Nissan joint venture.
China is one of the most important markets for the automobile industry, both as a manufacturer and as a consumer of vehicles. This leads many brands to seek partnerships in this market to launch their own tailored products for their clientele. This is the case of the Ruiqi 7, the Chinese version of the Nissan Navara that has been created by the Zhengzhou Nissan joint venture.
It is based on the Ruiqi 6 that has just been discontinued and is essentially a modified version of the Nissan Navara that is marketed in other markets, such as Europe, with a unique design. It will be one of the novelties of Zhengzhou Nissan at the 2022 Beijing Motor Show, which will be held in April of this year.

Among the changes that allow it to clearly differentiate itself from the Navara, the Riqui 7 features a unique grille finished in black with silver surrounds and a distinctive set of headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights. In the lower part we find some small fog lights and a molding that emulates a metal protector.
From the side is where the Riqui 7 most resembles the Nissan Navara, as it includes the same fenders, creases and doors. The images of the rear have not yet been revealed, but it seems that it will have the same pilots as the original Nissan pick-up.
Unlike the somewhat dated cabin of the Navara, the interior of the Riqui 7 is much more modern and gives the feeling of sporting premium finishes. We can see a screen for the floating-style infotainment system in the center of the console, a steering wheel with a flat bottom and a unique gear selector.

The dashboard design is especially striking, with geometric patterns spread over different areas. There is also a two-tone cream and brown leather upholstery. Other features include remote start and an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat.
Under the hood, buyers of the Chinese version of the Nissan Navara will get either a diesel or a gasoline engine. The diesel engine is a 2.3-liter 170 hp with 420 Nm of torque. No details about the gasoline unit are known. It will be available with both rear-wheel drive and 4×4 drive. Sales will begin after its presentation, during the month of May.
