It is not the first time that we have seen a collaboration between a car brand and a telephone company to create a smartphone inspired by the automotive industry, but the truth is that this time BMW and Samsung may have hit the nail on the head by targeting one of the most mythical models of the Bavarian firm with the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra BMW M Edition.
Although it does not appear in the name, the promotional images that have been revealed leave no doubt: it is based on the legendary BMW M3 E30 that came to light in the already distant 1986.
Based on the Samsung Galaxy S23, it has a casing clearly inspired by the BMW vehicle, but in its current generation, specifically in its hood and the characteristic double kidney grill area, with a considerable size and that has generated not few controversies.
Conceived as a collector’s product, the mobile is accompanied by several complementary elements, all with the same theme.
Thus, there are sunglasses, a watch, an album with the history of BMW, what looks like a loudspeaker and a rather special keychain, since it has an area where you can exchange the seven different versions that the car has had. logo of the car manufacturer, including the special variant for the 50th anniversary of M Motorsport.
To top it all off, the phone comes preloaded with the BMW Vantage app, a BMW lifestyle membership that gives access to a world of BMW experiences and events; and in addition each buyer is awarded a ‘Bonus Starter Pack’ from the BMW Driving Center where they can learn safe driving tips and driving skills.
Only 1,000 copies of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra BMW M Edition are going to be manufactured and, although its price has not been revealed, pre-orders have already been opened in South Korea, until February 13, and the official sale of the model will take place on February 17.
