Qualifying in Monaco is key… and you shouldn’t miss it.
Qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix is crucial – more than at any other circuit – to get a good result on Sunday. Starting out in front on this difficult urban track ensures that you will be in the top positions the next day. Both Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz are going for it, who achieved a great double in Free Practice 1 and remained in the top five in Free Practice 2 on Friday.
The action on the Monegasque track begins this Saturday at 12:30 p.m., when the third free practice will be held, where the drivers and teams will finish adjusting their cars for the important classification. It will be a session in which no risks will be taken, since a touch against the guardrail can even ruin the classification hours later.
Qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix will start at 4:00 p.m., and if you wonder who the favorites are, we will inevitably answer that Red Bull. Max Verstappen already showed yesterday in Free Practice 2 that he feels comfortable again with his Red Bull RB19 (he was not in Free Practice 1), and Sergio Pérez, although he was a little further back, cannot be ruled out.
Not surprisingly, ‘Checo’ achieved pole position last year and achieved victory the following day. The Ferraris of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc will also be strong, and Lewis Hamilton, with an improved Mercedes, intends to be on top. In the same way as Fernando Alonso, who knows that here he has a golden opportunity to try to start in the first or second row and go for victory 33 tomorrow.

To access DAZN’s sports offer (including, among other competitions, F1 and MotoGP), you have to hire one of the packages it offers, including the most basic one offered by motor competitions, such as “DAZN Essential”, which costs €18.99. The “DAZN Total” package, which also includes football, costs €29.99.
DAZN is also available on other digital televisions, such as Movistar TV or Orange TV, which offer it, and sometimes at promotional prices.
