These are the times and ways to see the premiere of Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz with their new cars for the 2023 season.

After just over two months of winter break, Formula 1 returns to activity with the F1 2023 pre-season tests, which are held at the Bahrain Circuit between February 23 and 25. Below, we give you all the information you need to know about these tests, such as the schedules and how to watch them live on television or the Internet.

The Formula 1 tests take place at the Bahrain Circuit, the same one that has hosted the Grand Prix in this country almost without interruption since its debut on the calendar in 2004. Until last year, it was common for the tests to take place in Spain because of the proximity to the team factories and also because of how representative it is, for example, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

But the logistical needs (the first GP of the season is also held here) as well as the desire to reduce economic costs to a minimum with only three days of training, and of course, the money that the country pays to host them, mean that the evidence, for now, say goodbye to our country.

Schedules of the tests F1 2023

F1 training in 2023 will be held between February 23 and 25, and each day will be divided as follows (in Spanish time):

  • Morning session: From 08:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
  • Evening session: From 1:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

There will be, in total, nine daily hours of training during which the drivers and teams will test the single-seaters with which they will compete this season in the premier category of motorsport for the first time. To date, they have only been able to ride with them on a ‘filming day’ limited to 100 kilometers in length, simply to check that everything works correctly.

Most of the starting drivers will have only 1.5 days of training behind the wheel of the new car, with which they will complete the 23 races of the 2023 Formula 1 season. This time on the track, however, may be reduced in the event that one of the teams decides to give time with this year’s F1 to one of their test drivers.

The cars of this season, which we have already known after their presentations, are in most cases, evolutions of those of last season. The technical regulations have not changed, so the teams have focused, above all, on solving the problems encountered last year and improving overall performance.

Where to watch the F1 2023 tests live?

F1 2023 pre-season training can be seen live on the internet or on television. This is thanks to the fact that the television that has the rights to the queen category in our country, DAZN F1, will broadcast the winter tests in full. So we can see the premiere of Fernando Alonso with Aston Martin and the debut of Carlos Sainz with the new Ferrari.

The streaming platform will carry out broadcasts in Spanish during the tests in order to analyze all the news in the new Formula 1 cars of 2023 and explain what happens on the Bahrain track.

Likewise, from AUTOBILD.ES, we will tell you what happens in the F1 2023 tests.
