Will Ferrari be able to beat Verstappen in his home race?

Belgium, the Netherlands… and Italy. Formula 1 completes its challenging post-summer treble at the Monza Circuit and these are the times you need to know to watch the race live on TV or the internet. Max Verstappen arrives as a solid leader of the World Championship after winning the last four races; in Italy, Ferrari will try to prevent that streak from continuing.

And it will do so in a weekend of celebrations and anniversaries for the Italian team, which commemorates its beginnings by dyeing parts of its F1-75 yellow, as a tribute to Modena, the city where its founder, Enzo Ferrari, was born, and the Own brand. 2022 is also an important year for Ferrari, as it marks the 75th anniversary of the creation of the Ferrari 125 S, its first racing car.

All this, however, will not put Ferrari in contention for victory at their home race. The team, which has not achieved a victory since July, is not at its best. Now, with the Red Bull streak, Ferrari has moved away from the title fight, and Mercedes is also hot on their heels in the fight for the teams’ runner-up position.

Mistakes like Sainz’s pit stop at Zandvoort do not help to be optimistic about a comeback in the final stretch of the course.

The sensations in Alpine, Fernando Alonso’s team until his departure next year to Aston Martin F1, are much better. The Asturian driver has just finished in a magnificent sixth place in the Dutch GP and Alpine is entrenched in fourth place in the Constructors’ World Championship, which is the most they can achieve this year.

In Monza we will see some ‘non-starter’ faces in the first free practice sessions. Dutchman Nyck de Vries – Formula E champion – will test the Aston Martin AMR22 during Free Practice 1 and Antonio Giovinazzi – until last year Alfa Romeo’s regular driver and now a Ferrari tester – will drive the Haas.

How to watch the F1 Italian GP on TV or online

The DAZN platform will once again have exclusive Formula 1 broadcast rights in our country in 2022 and for this reason it is the main option that you have to know to watch F1. In addition, thanks to an agreement between Movistar and DAZN, the F1 races can also be seen on Movistar TV through the DAZN F1 channel, available according to the packages contracted through the operator.

To access the contents of F1, MotoGP and the rest of the sports broadcast by DAZN (except football), you must sign up for the Essential pack. The current price is €12.99 per month or €129.99 per year (with two months free). It can be seen on the Internet through its website or in the application of Smart TV, Android, iOS…

Beyond that, the rest of the options are unofficial. The F1 TV service is not available in Spain, so you will not be able to contract it in our country, and any other possibility entails certain risks on how to watch F1, since either you will not be able to enjoy it in high definition, in Spanish or you will risk kill a virus on your device.

Having DAZN will also give you the option of watching La Liga matches, being able to contract the five matches per day for €18.99 per month (without F1 or MotoGP) or for €24.99 the Total pack, which includes football, F1, MotoGP and the rest of the sports on the DAZN grid.
