A few years ago, performing an image search on Google was synonymous with ending up on one of the thousands of boards that Pinterest users have created. Such was the discomfort of Google users searching for images that a trick began to become popular to prevent the results of this platform from appearing in the results.
Fortunately, Google realized that it made no sense to prioritize search results for Pinterest images and changed how it works, since when users search for a specific image, they are looking for an image, not a set of similar images, which is what we can find it on Pinterest.
In a move aimed at meeting the increasingly growing demand of Generation Z, which represents more than 40% of Pinterest’s monthly users, this platform has announced a new way to share users’ boards, a method that allows you to create videos shorts to publish on the most used social networks such as TikTok, Instagram and YouTube Shorts.
Convert Pinterest boards into short videos
In mid-2022, Pinterest introduced the Shuffles feature, a feature that in testing was limited to a very small group of users that allowed creators to create collages from their tablets by adding music to post on TikTok.
That function, which had tremendous success, never left its testing phase. Since then, users who want to share their boards on social networks did so manually, through screenshots and adding effects along with a link to their wall where all the content is available.
The success of this new method for sharing boards on social networks has been the reason why Pinterest has been encouraged to introduce a function that does the work automatically. Although the feature is designed to publish directly to Instagram, it can be downloaded along with the corresponding link to publish it on any social network.
Pinterest wants to encourage the use of its platform by users who have always been interested in using it but who, due to its promotional limitations, have never considered it as an option to offer their content, especially when Pinterest users have created more than 10 billion boards.
How to create tablet videos on Pinterest
This new feature, for now, is only available through the application for mobile devices, presumably it will also reach the web version. To use this function, all we have to do is access the board that we have created, and click on the Share button located at the top right so that a video is generated automatically.
Next, click on Add to story to share it through Instagram or Download to upload it to TikTok or YouTube Shorts. If we don’t like the result, we can click on the Edit button to modify the pins or select a different template.
Finally, click on Share story to open Instagram and then click on Stickers, choose Link and paste the URL of the board. Now, we just have to click on the Share button.
