A Christmas story.
It seems that Christmas is coming and stories like those from a movie begin to emerge, which begin with a problem, but end with a happy ending. A Brazilian citizen’s motorcycle was stolen on December 14, but a few days later it was returned to him, with a note of regret included.
The events took place in Santa Bárbara, Taraquaralto. Pedro Gabriel Nonato, 26, came to his house to look for a document. He was not even half an hour in the place, but when he left, his motorcycle had disappeared.
“When I came back, the place was clean. Someone had taken the motorcycle in front of my house. And at that moment I thought they had taken it as a joke, because I know a lot of people, I thought it was a joke, ”he points out.
That is why he waited that night and the next day, but, seeing that they did not return it, he went to report it to the police and, in addition, he disclosed what had happened on social networks.
To his surprise, three days later, in front of his house, the motorcycle reappeared. And she was not alone: the thief attached a note of repentance in which, among other things, he said: “You are a friend, you are a worker like me. Apologies.”
“On Saturday morning, when I was losing hope, when I least expected it, I heard someone playing loud. When I came out, I saw that the motorcycle key had been thrown over the wall. When I opened the door, the motorcycle was outside. I got goosebumps all over,” she has stated.
“I think God touched his heart or gave it back to him because of all the repercussion, since my friends helped me a lot with social media posts. He surprised me because I never imagined that he would leave her at the door of the house; (…) I could leave it elsewhere. It was a mixture of happiness and a desire to catch the person who did it. But in the end, I just said thank you, ”she concludes.
