A Swedish company has created the Luvly 0, a cheap electric car with a range of 100 kilometers that is bought in parts and shipped to the customer.
For many drivers, the main problem with electric vehicles is the price, beyond the range of autonomy and the existence of points to recharge the battery. But there is a Swedish company that overcomes that barrier with a very cheap peculiar electric car that is assembled like LEGO.
This Swedish company is Luvly and wants to enter the sector of small electric vehicles, intended exclusively for the city. To do this, it has just presented its first model, the Luvly 0.
But apart from the characteristics of this electric car, the most curious thing is its peculiar delivery system: the vehicle is manufactured in parts and sent to the customer, in the Ikea (also Swedish) style. In this way, costs are considerably reduced.
However, unlike the furniture company, the owner of the car will not be in charge of assembling it, but the company will deploy different regional plants where they will assemble the vehicle.
The cheap electric car that assembles like a LEGO
Luvly already plans to produce several 100% electric models, such as a three-wheeled sports car and a small van for delivery operations. But the first to arrive is the Luvly 0, a very small vehicle, similar to the Japanese ‘kei car’, but with some interesting solutions.
The car is barely 2.7 meters long, 1.53 meters wide and 1.44 meters high, therefore it is designed for urban use, moving agilely through narrow streets, consuming little energy and parking easily.

The electric microcar has a very minimalist design, as is preferred in those latitudes, with a large windshield that allows good visibility, very small headlights, and a straight cut at the rear.
It weighs only 400 kg and, despite its small dimensions, it has a generous trunk, with 267 liters, a capacity similar to that of a B-segment utility. Inside, there is space for two passengers.
100 kilometers of autonomy
Luvly has not offered many details on the mechanical scheme of this electric car, but it does ensure that it can reach 90 km/h, a fairly high speed for a vehicle of these characteristics, designed for the city.
On the other hand, we do have data on the battery, which is removable, weighs 15 kg and has a capacity of 6.4 kWh. With a consumption of 6 kWh/100 km, it certifies a range of 100 kilometers.
The Swedish company already accepts orders for the Luvly 0 through its website, at a price of 10,000 euros. Without a doubt, the cheapest way to have an electric one.
