What is the fine that you can get when braking abruptly before a radar? Believe it or not, the DGT sanctions this type of action at the wheel.
DGT radars are one of the most widely used tools to prosecute drivers who violate speed limits on Spanish roads. There are several types, from fixed and mobile, to those that control the speed in a section. We can also find them in the Pegasus helicopters and even the infallible Velolaser, which are almost undetectable.
In Spain we have various types of roads and there are different speed limits for each road, with the legal maximum on motorways being 120 km/h. If you exceed the speed limit on a road or motorway, also taking into account the margin of error applied by the DGT, you expose yourself to a serious or very serious offense with a penalty ranging between 100 and 600 euros.

Remember that all fixed speed cameras are marked in advance, either by a fixed sign that warns of the presence of a speed camera or by means of a raised luminous sign. Regardless of the mandatory notice, the most prudent and safest thing to do is not to exceed the maximum speed allowed on the road.
