It is a pick-up model from the year 1933, which has been rescued to be restored.
How we like these stories in which an authentic jewel remains hidden for decades and, suddenly, someone finds it and jumps into the fray.
In this case, we are talking about a Ford B/18 pick-up from 1933 that has been found in a barn in the US, where it has been locked up for 45 years. You can know the full story in the following video.
In case you don’t know the history of the first Ford models, let’s do a quick review: the first model of the brand, as you already know, was the Ford T, which was the first mass-produced car in the world. One 20 years later it was replaced by the Model A (1927) and only five years later the Model B arrived, of which there were versions 18 and 40.
As you can see in the video, one of its discoverers says: “We are here on a rescue mission.” And boy did they have to rescue him, because he was parked in a barn that has been buried in weeds after all these years.
So, neither short nor lazy, chainsaw in hand, they have opened a path to get him out of there.
The wheels were obviously deflated and in order to get it out of the barn they inflated them again. But, as can be seen throughout the video, with the tires cracked and cracked by the passage of time, the inner tube appears through the cracks and ends up bursting.
And at the end of the video comes the surprise, because its owner tells us that he left it sitting because he used to drive it during his high school days in the 60s, but he spent more time repairing it than driving it.
Presumably they can take advantage of little, both the bodywork and the mechanics. And we don’t think that’s a problem, because you’ll probably end up turning into a ‘hot-rod’ with a good V8 engine inside. Be that as it may, what is certain is that he will have a new life.
