The Organisation of Consumers and Users (OCU) is very involved in analysing which are the best products and services offered by brands, according to Internet users. One of its latest studies asks which is the best operator to sign up for a mobile plan. And it seems that the big firms, such as Movistar, Vodafone and Orange, are not at the top of the ranking.
The data collected shows that the degree of customer satisfaction for Movistar, Orange and Vodafone in mobile telephony is below 75 points. Although it has dropped compared to previous periods, it is true that they are still leaders in the sector. However, that does not mean that they are the best valued by users.
The OCU has asked more than 14,000 of its members about the subject in a survey and has reached conclusions that push Movistar, Vodafone and Orange away from the podium. The smaller brands are the ones that are most successful in terms of customer satisfaction. There are even companies that do not operate throughout Spain and only do so at a regional level that surpass the leaders in the Spanish market.
The dissatisfaction of users questioned by the OCU regarding the major operators is so great that a high percentage is considering changing.
But what is it that has determined that consumers prefer other brands and not so much Movistar, Vodafone and Orange? Which are the companies that are most successful as mobile phone service providers according to the OCU ranking? We leave you everything below.
The list of the best mobile phone operators
We are increasingly demanding with the requirements we take into account when contracting a mobile plan. We not only value the price we pay per month, but also the minutes of calls, the data gigabytes, the quality of the connectivity, the cost of SMS, or the conditions of roaming when we travel abroad. We must also look at the customer service in case any problem arises.
Many of these characteristics are probably what the members that OCU has asked had in mind when choosing which operators were better. From the choices made by Internet users, the Organization of Consumers and Users has determined that Parlem and Pepephone are the companies that convince customers the most. Both have risen above 80 points in overall satisfaction among users. And in third place is Telefónica’s second brand: O2.
But how did the mobile phone ranking end up? Here is the list of the top 10, according to data obtained by the OCU from its more than 14,000 members:
- Parlem, with an overall score of 86 points out of 100.
- Pepephone, with an overall satisfaction of 85 points out of 100
- O2, with an overall satisfaction of 82 points out of 100
- Guuk, with a satisfaction of 80 points out of 100
- Simyo, with an overall satisfaction of 79 points out of 100

Of the three operators in Spain, according to users, the best position is Movistar. But that does not mean that it is ranked highly based on the opinion of users surveyed by the OCU. It is ranked 11th out of 22 brands that were asked about. Next is Orange, in 17th place, followed by Vodafone, in 18th position.
