Many people are impatiently waiting for the Olympic Games to end because they are not particularly keen on sports. But others, after the latest revelations, will want the international Olympic event to end for very different reasons. And the main and most unexpected of these reasons has a name and surname: Tom Cruise.

On August 11, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will come to an end and, of course, just as there was a grand opening ceremony, there will also be a closing ceremony. It will be the moment when athletes and sports fans alike will say goodbye to an event that is leaving many moments for history and images full of strength and self-improvement.

Tom Cruise will do one of his crazy things

If you’re following the Olympics, you’ll know that the famous Hollywood actor is present at the event and has participated as a spectator in many of the competitions. There are plenty of photos and videos showing him having a good time at the celebrations. However, it seems that the actor intends to use his time in Paris for something else.

Tom Cruise in a Mission Impossible stunt

As the press is reporting, barring a surprise, it seems that Tom Cruise will do one of his crazy things, unbecoming of an actor of his stature and category. It will be the way in which, as is being said, France will hand over the Olympic flag to the United States. This moment will be very important, as it will set the path for the celebration of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, the next event that will bring together the greatest athletes in the world.

What could Tom Cruise do?

The actor is famous for filming his own stunts and not using stunt doubles. This has put him in some of the most complex and dangerous situations that usually make Hollywood producers fear every time he takes on one of these maneuvers. He usually does this in the Mission Impossible movies, where he has shown that he has no limits and in which he is always willing to surpass his own limits to surprise the audience.

Rumors have it that Tom Cruise might do some sort of skydiving to hand over the flag or some other spectacular stunt. Unnamed sources close to the event who spoke to Deadline are tight-lipped, but say to “expect a big Hollywood production.” Presumably, the moment we’ll see Tom Cruise in action will be right around the time the flag is being handed over from Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo to Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass.

The opening ceremony of the current Olympic Games was a huge success with audiences around the world and brought a different point of view than usual. For better or worse, Paris sought to do something different. In the case of the closing ceremony, due to the presence of Los Angeles in part of it, the style is expected to change and take a slightly different approach.

The next Olympic Games will take place between 14 and 30 July 2028 in Los Angeles, a city that is hosting the Games again after the editions it held in 1932 and 1984. The final stadiums that will make up the list of locations for the event have not yet been decided, but it is said that it will possibly be the Coliseum, the Crypto.com Arena and the Convention Centre, among other places. But, for that date to come, we will first have to see the end of the games and find ourselves with that Tom Cruise moment in which the actor will possibly make the headlines again. The closing ceremony, as happened with the opening ceremony, will possibly be able to be seen both on Max and the Eurosport channels, as well as on TVE and RTVE Play.
