The Civil Guard constantly renews its fleet of vehicles to keep it updated at all times to the mobility needs of its agents. The latest acquisition of the armed force has two wheels and joins the Nature Protection Service, SEPRONA. These are the new electric motorcycles that the Civil Guard will use in 2023.
These are 157 units of the Zero FX electric motorcycle from Zero Motorcycles, which represents the largest purchase that the Civil Guard has made of this type of vehicle and represents an increase of 16% in the fleet of this division.
The sale has been carried out through Cooltra, partner for fleets of the American motorcycle firm in Spain, and is carried out through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. The purchase of the new SEPRONA electric motorcycles has had a cost of 2,189,000 euros and the vehicles will be distributed throughout the national territory.

The Zero FX is an electric motorcycle with off-road capabilities equipped with a Z-Force transmission system, long-travel suspension, and dual-sport equipment that, according to the manufacturer, “allow you to ride on virtually any terrain.”
This motorcycle is equipped with a Z-Force 75-5 engine that develops 44 HP of power at 4,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 106 Nm. It is powered by ZF 7.2 batteries with an approved autonomy range of 145 kilometers, enough energy to reach a maximum speed of 140 km/h. In addition, the recharge of the battery is done in 9.7 hours.
Of course, all the electric motorcycles of the Civil Guard for SEPRONA are finished in green and have the logos of the police force and the flag of Spain. They are also equipped with a protective grill and all-terrain tires.
At the delivery ceremony of the new fleet held in Madrid, the General Director of the Civil Guard, María Gámez, highlighted that the incorporation of electric and hybrid vehicles is a commitment of the Civil Guard that is included in its Sustainability Plan.
