The Indian brand gave a great coup with the staging of the Ultraviolette F77, a motorcycle with which it entered the universe of electric mobility through the front door. Well, now the Ultraviolette F99 Racing Platform is born, the brand’s new electric sports naked. The Auto Expo held in Greater Noida, in India, has been the setting chosen for the presentation of the unprecedented model.
It takes its base from the F77, but incorporates a multitude of changes to adapt to its new role. To begin with, its powertrain goes from 60 V to 120 V. And the maximum power increases, and the 37 CV of the F77 gives way to 60 CV in the F99. Thanks to this, it is capable of reaching 200 km/h. A not inconsiderable figure that clearly shows the sporting intentions of the model. The batteries are Lithium Ion, and if they were like the F77, they would be divided into three packages with access through one of the sides to also be able to charge them at home.
Among the improvements introduced, we find aerodynamic “wings” on the sides of the body, a narrow seat for the driver or a sharp monoposto rear. In fact, the absence of footboards for the passenger can be observed. And it is that its purely sporty approach is also seen in the front. Here a license plate replaces the headlight. We intuit that in the final model this will make an appearance, so as not to exclude its use only on the track.
Ergonomics is another completely modified aspect. The rider leans forward and the footrests are adjustable for the perfect integration into the set. The brake equipment draws attention, as it has a single front disc. Large diameter yes. While the caliper is ByBre and the two-channel ABS.
At the presentation of the Ultraviolette F99 Racing Platform, the new Indian electric sports naked, the Brand’s CEO, Narayan Subrimanian, confirmed his intentions to start a series of races over the next few years with the new model. And he confirmed the arrival of the F99 to the market: “The F99 Factory Racing platform led us to think beyond conventional technologies in today’s EV space. We are confident that the innovation coming out of the F99 Factory Racing Platform will reach the public in the future.”
