Do you remember the Hyundai Pony? Now this classic is reissued with a concept that is spectacular. They have presented it at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este that was held a few weekends ago on Lake Como. The original concept was exhibited at the Turin Motor Show, in Italy, in 1974. Since then it has marked the inspiration of the brand’s designers.
“Join us for a behind-the-scenes look at Hyundai’s Lake Como reunion in Italy, where we brought a piece of 1970s nostalgia back into the spotlight: the 1974 Pony Coupe Concept! The highly anticipated restoration of the concept car was on display alongside the new Pony Coupé-inspired N Vision 74 concept that embodies the incredible technological developments of the future while drawing inspiration from the past.
Giorgetto Giugiaro was the creator of the original prototype, and has also been the one who has completed the reconstruction work. Its aesthetic is so personal and inspiring that the company’s range of electric cars has a lot of the Pony. The N Vision 74, a prototype of more than 600 CV with hydrogen fuel cell technology, has a lot of the Hyundai Pony in the aesthetic section.
Hyundai has presented this prototype at the Concours d’Eleganza Villa d’Este held in Italy. This event is focused on vintage and classic cars, taking place annually near the Villa d’Este hotel in Cernobbio, on the western shore of Lake Como, in northern Italy.
