The successor to the Lamborghini Aventador is getting closer. The company’s new V12, which will radically change its powertrain, will mount different novelties. Among other things, it will have a carbon structure, an element that we have explained in this video and from which we can draw many conclusions. Thanks to this, for example, the model will be much lighter.

This structure that we can see on video is based on an advanced chassis inspired by the world of aeronautics known as “monofelage”. This is the skeleton of the Lamborghini LB744, as it is known at the moment, a part of the supercar that will be made up of a carbon fiber monocoque chassis. In terms of torsional rigidity, lightness and driving dynamics it is a great advance.

For the first time at Lamborghini, the successor to the Aventador will mount a front structure designed in Forged Composites. It is a material made from short carbon fibers, soaked in resin. This change in the front structure saves 20% of weight when compared to the aluminum structure used in the Aventador, with the chassis of the Lamborghini LB744 being 10% lighter than that of the same model.

For its part, this new model of the brand will have a plug-in hybrid mechanics capable of exceeding 1,000 horsepower thanks to the new naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine that delivers 825 HP and 725 Nm of torque. It will have an electric motor on each front wheel that adds 150 hp and 350 Nm, reaching these power figures.
