Amazon Prime wants to keep video game lovers happy, and to do so, it has updated its catalog of free games that you can access with your subscription. The best thing is that this September comes loaded with 28 new games, including some of the most important ones from recent years, including installments of several great sagas.

What Prime Gaming offers to all users who have an Amazon Prime account is quite remarkable. We have a lot of free games that we can play on the computer and that can be enjoyed without having to pay anything extra. Games are added every month, so your digital collection can grow significantly over time. This September there are 28 new titles and it is obligatory to take your hat off to Amazon in view of the great selection they have made.

New features now available

As usual, new games are added to the Prime subscription on a weekly basis, so they are not all available at the same time. However, the first update of the month is usually the most impressive, which means that this September you already have some really good new features that you will want to take advantage of without hesitation.

One of the games that was added to the catalogue in September was the peculiar Minabo: A Walk Through Life, a Spanish production that was much talked about at its presentation. It is a title that will surprise you with its particular approach and gameplay and that is developed by the veteran company Devilish Games.

A scene from the game Shadow of Mordor

There are also two Lord of the Rings games added. One is LEGO: The Lord of the Rings, which is very good, but nothing compared to the impressive Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor in its Game of the Year edition. This game was a real hit at the time and is still just as fun today. You can play it against the backdrop of the second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, because that way you’ll find the episodes a little more digestible.

The month also kicked off with Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and Tales from the Borderlands, three smash hits that are, by all accounts, far superior to the recent theatrical film. And if you want more adventure, Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition and the very fun LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures (way better than LEGO Lord of the Rings, mind you) are also included for free. In addition to that, Whispered Secrets: Everburning Candle Collector’s Edition, GreedFall: Gold Edition, and Eternights are also available.

What other free games are coming in September?

Get ready to spend some free time! There are three updates ahead, on the 12th, 19th and 26th. And each one of them is a party of new free games that you will be able to access with your Amazon Prime subscription. Of course, as we said, Amazon has stepped on the start of the month and some of these weeks are not so interesting, although, at least, there will be a lot of variety in gameplay.

The week of the 12th, you’ll receive 9 Years of Shadows, Golfie, XHell Pie, Moonlighter, Showgunners, Cursed to Golf, and Arcadegeddon. On the 19th, you’ll be able to download LEGO The Hobbit for free, which is perfect if you’ve already finished the other Lord of the Rings game, so you can continue your exploration of Tolkien’s universe. Also available that day are Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, I Love Finding Cats & Pups — Collector’s Edition, The Falconeer, and Kerbal Space Programme.

The month will end with the availability of the following games from September 26: the already classic Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, Mystery Case Files: Black Crown – Collector’s Edition, Black Desert, Ynglet and Ghost Song. We remind you that the download must be done during the period in which they are available, since this service, like PlayStation Plus, rewards Prime subscribers with free monthly games. This month, if you don’t have time for all of them, we recommend playing Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Borderlands 2 and LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures.
