Kaufman wanted to considerably increase the power of his Ferrari, even more than double what it already had from the factory, that is, 740 CV. To do this, the engine had to be supercharged. The problem was the lack of space in the engine compartment to install the turbochargers.
The solution he found was to cut off part of the long hood so the pieces would stick out and be exposed. Finally, the Ferrari reaches 1,500 CV.
