That a new streaming platform is available is excellent news, but that it is dedicated to the world of football is almost even better. In this case, it can now be installed on Smart TVs and accessed on other devices to a new OTT that arrives with the intention of providing football lovers with a lot of fun with full matches and other content.
They may not be able to win the current season of LaLiga EA Sports, but, at least, this year 2024 will have meant for Fútbol Club Barcelona the moment of the premiere of its streaming platform. It is not bad news in view of the large amount of content it includes and how well it is presented to users: with three access options, two of them free. With all of them you can watch complete matches, such as the recent Barcelona – UD Las Palmas on a delayed basis and others that, in the near future, will be able to be seen live.
For Barça fans
The platform in question is called Barça One and it is the way in which Fútbol Club Barcelona proposes its next step in terms of having a digital presence updated to the latest trends. If in the past the priority was to have a television channel, today what is imposed above all is to have an exclusive streaming platform. And that is something that Barcelona can now cross off the list, given that the premiere of Barça One has been carried out with a very attractive proposal.
As we said, access can be done with three types of account: free, with registration or premium. Free access has no mystery: you can enter without registering and enjoy the content that is available for this category. They are not all the contents, but there is a good repertoire. Access with registration frees all programs and provides other advantages, such as viewing the programming or being able to make lists of what we are interested in watching.
Lastly, Premium access for 1.99 euros per month offers two things. The first is the disappearance of ads and the second is the ability to download. This way you can see the content anywhere, regardless of whether you have a connection or not. If you were paying for the BarçaTV+ service, your subscription will become Barça One Premium.
What content does it include?
Those responsible for Barça One have designed the platform thinking about providing everything that the fan of the culé team could want to see. And that means that there are not only programs, games or plays that review the team’s classic or current moments, but other types of content are also included. For example, you can watch documentaries or series, which makes it become the “Netflix of Barça” without missing any type of proposal.
Beyond that, one of the particularities of the service is Barça Noticias, a program that has a new edition from Monday to Friday to keep fans updated with everything that happens within the club’s environment. Added to this is a wide repertoire of original productions that explore different areas of Barcelona’s sporting life, the careers of its players or other elements of interest related to the Catalan club.
You can also watch live matches, such as the Joan Gamper Trophy, which has previously been broadcast on TV3. We must not forget that, to date, Leo Messi is the greatest scorer in the history of this trophy in which Barcelona faces an elite rival every year. Along with this there is many other content that can already be seen and others that will progressively arrive in the coming weeks and months. With Barça One we seek to have a better approach to the team’s fans and, on the other hand, provide it for free, which is a breath of fresh air.
