Instagram is one of the favorite social networks of many users. On this platform, we can follow people with whom we share likes or accounts with images that may be interesting to us. But, sometimes, there are profiles that we follow out of commitment. Maybe it’s a user you met at a party and never saw again and you only follow because they follow you back or something like that. If you want to check if they continue to follow you without having to search each profile individually, we show you a very simple way to do it.

We have given you an example where you might be interested in discovering which of your followers have stopped following you. However, there are many situations in which we might want to know. There may be celebrity accounts that you no longer remember that you followed and you want to see them all at a glance. This way, it will be easier to choose the profiles you want to stop following instantly. Or maybe you have published something with some controversy and you are trying to find out if someone you considered a friend has felt bad about it.

Whatever the reason, we show you how you can access this information easily, without downloading third-party apps or anything similar.

The code for Instagram to know your unfollowers

When we want to look for who our followers have stopped following us, we resort to going one by one to the profiles of the people we suspect may have done so. This is not very practical, so there are people who use third-party apps that can be very invasive with our privacy. Sometimes, we even download APKs that can hide malware, so we should be very careful.

The best option is to give up these applications due to the problem they can pose for security. Instead, there is another option which is to insert a code in the “Console” section found within the “Inspect” function that appears when you right-click the mouse on Instagram.

instagram followers code

The user @catavega___, who on her Instagram account claims to be a civil industrial engineer, shared a time ago a code with which unfollowers can be seen. We only have to search «catavega.8b.io» in the browser search engine and click on “Who stops following you”.

On the page you are redirected to, you will see the steps you must follow:

  • Open the Google Chrome browser
  • Search Instagram and log in with your account
  • Then, right-click on any site on the website to enter “Inspect” (or press CTRL + Shift + J)
  • Copy the code that @catavega___ shares with you
  • Go to “Console”, paste said code and press the Enter button.

By following these steps, a page called “Instagram Unfollower” appears. The only thing we will have to do is click on “RUN” and wait for the data to load. By default, this section will show the accounts you follow and do not follow you and will notify you when it is a private or verified profile. This way, you can decide whether or not to unfollow them from this site, without having to enter Instagram to do it manually. The function is in English, but it is quite intuitive and easy to use.

The most normal thing is that the accounts that appear are accounts of celebrities or people whose content you like. Therefore, you probably don’t want to unfollow them. However, with this code, you will be able to see more easily if someone you considered friends or close people has stopped being interested in you. It’s also a good trick if you want to get rid of some influencers you didn’t remember you followed.
